Have you tried to teach a lesson at home, church, or in a school classroom with little ones? Oh my! They’re so busy. This free colored Easter egg printable game will keep your little peeps quiet while they “hatch” their eggs and do their assignments or listen to your lesson.
Clever moms and teachers simply print and cut out these colorful Easter eggs. Laminate them if you wish. I’m making these for my son’s kindergarten teacher, so I’m going to laminate them for reuse. On the back of each one, I’ll write each child’s name with a dry erase marker. Easy peasy. This will allow the teacher to reuse them for years to come and eliminate the “where’s my egg?” tears that come from lost eggs that accidentally get misplaced.
Colored Easter Egg Stay-in-Your-Seat Activity
So how does this activity work? Simply place an egg cutout on each child’s chair. Then explain that today or for the next several days, everyone has an egg they are in charge of. And just like real chicken eggs, it’s going to hatch into something special if we sit on it and keep it warm.

My son’s kindergarten class has been unusually wiggly the past few weeks. His teacher has extreme patience with everyone. But with Easter right around the corner and springtime in the air, the kiddos just can’t seem to stay in their seats. We’re hoping this cute hatching activity will do the trick.
Come Friday, their eggs at recess will magically hatch–and a cute marshmallow chick will be on each seat. Peep! Peep! Of course, any baby chick treat would work–chocolate varieties or whatever you can find.
Just leave an egg on each kid’s chair, and they’ll be so excited to play this quiet game.
Various Ways to Use Easter Egg Printable Game
I love this idea so much because it positively reinforces a rule without having to nag. It’s perfect for church primary classes who wiggle during singing time or lesson time. And it’s a darling, fun game for families with little ones who struggle to sit five minutes for mealtimes or home lessons.
In addition to the game described above, you can certainly use the egg cutouts for a spontaneous egg hunt. You could also print the page twice and use it for a matching game.
