Hi! I’m Kerry Smith, Mrs. Lady Wordsmith.
Welcome! You’re here to learn, connect, and uplift others. What you do every day matters, especially as you focus on building yourself, your goals, your dreams. Strong women are key to strong families and friendships. Together we can accomplish what is most important–one step at a time, one goal at a time, one day at a time.
I am blessed with a supportive, amazing husband and two handsome sons. I do not even slightly pretend to have it “all together” or to be an expert on most things. My skills lie in learning and teaching others what I find to be valuable. I learn as I go. So do you. Let’s learn together.
I offer tools that can help both you and me as we strive to be our best selves. Your time is valuable, and I commit to earning every one of your visits to my site.
As we learn, connect, and uplift together, I focus on personal growth and reaching out to family and friends. I love to read and often share books or things I’ve learned from them to support these key areas. I’m a strong advocate for literacy and autism, since my family has been blessed with a son who has high-functioning autism.
On a professional level, I have a bachelor’s degree in English from Utah State University. I’m a former full-time editor and writer for the Ensign magazine. Here are links to three of my favorite articles I’ve written for the Ensign: Staying the Course, a news piece about my former alma mater, Ricks College,, and a piece I wrote on behalf of the author listed. I’m also a former contributor to Sugardoodle.net and am the current Salt Lake City editor for KidsOutAndAbout.com.
30 Day Nonfitness Challenges
I have learned how to break down goals and tasks into manageable bites. In addition to the articles I post on this site, I share daily tips in a Facebook group called 30 Day Nonfitness Challenges. It’s a successful, fun group where we introduce and work on 30-day goals of interest. Want to declutter? Do daily service? Organize or clean? See how we do it in the group. Participate in the challenges that interest you, at the level most comfortable to you. Click here to see the group, and join if you’d like.
Thank you for being here. Join me on social media, and let’s do this!
