I love to read to my sons, especially around any holiday. It seems to make everything more special if we can find just the right book for the occasion. With Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought I’d share a few favorites that we have enjoyed over the years and hunt down more great options to enjoy.

I Love You As Much, by Laura Krauss Melmed is one of those sentimental books that mushy moms like me love. I’m not sure my boys love this one as much as I do, but it’s on our bookshelf, and I will never ever throw it away.
Guess How Much I Love You? by Sam McBratney. This is one that both of my boys loved when they were little. I think it brought them lots of comfort, and I remember snuggling as we read it. I’m so glad I bought it before my first child was born. It’s a keeper!
Because I Love You, by Max Lucado. I need to add this one to my children’s literature collection. We’ve borrowed it from the library, and I love its special message.
Snuggle Puppy, by Sandra Boynton. We read this one for years. My youngest son loved it. We’re past the stage of reading it, but I’m happy to report that I still receive lots of snuggles.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse! by Laura Numeroff has been another hit at our house. Both of my boys have loved the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie series, and this cute valentine version is adorable.
This extensive list of 100 cute books repeats a few of my favorites and suggests so much more.
